In this Fitbit Sense Review, we will review the various aspects of the Fitbit Sense and we will see if it lives up to our expectations or not. Let’s get started.

Design & Build Quality

Let’s start with the Design of Fitbit Sense. The one thing which is common among most Fitbit Smartwatches is that most of them come with a very similar design and Fitbit Sense is no exception.

The smartwatch comes with the same iconic design with smooth edges. However, the frame of Fitbit Sense comes with a black and Soft Gold Finish which gives it a unique look.

When it comes to Build Quality, Fitbit Sense feels very premium. Fitbit has used premium materials in the smartwatch and we didn’t find any built flaws in the smartwatch. So, considering the design & Build Quality, it’s safe to say that we are pretty satisfied.

Features

Let’s get to the features of Fitbit Sense which are surely the main selling point of this smartwatch. The company offers a wide range of advanced features which you won’t find in any other Fitbit Smartwatch.

Skin Temperature Monitoring

Skin Temperature Monitoring is one of the main highlights of Fitbit Sense and it’s a feature that you won’t find in any other smartwatch out there.

Fitbit Sense comes with an advanced sensor that monitors the skin temperature variation when you sleep. However, the problem with this sensor is that it will only work when you are sleeping.

Considering that this feature is not available on any other smartwatch, it’s still a cool feature and you can surely use it if you want to know how your body manages your skin temperature when you are sleeping.

Blood Oxygen Saturation Sensor (SPo2)

A blood Oxygen Saturation Sensor (SPo2) is an advanced sensor that basically tells you about the oxygen saturation in your blood. This feature is very useful because it will tell you if anything is wrong with your lungs.

When your lungs are not functioning properly, they pump less oxygen into your body which results in less oxygen saturation in your blood. With Fitbit Sense, you will be able to detect lung problem at early stages and get medical help.

ECG

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is an advanced test that is basically used to check different heart conditions. Back in the day, this test was only available at medical centers but nowadays, you can do it at your home with some advanced smartwatches.

Fitbit Sense is one of the very few smartwatches that comes with ECG, which means that you can conduct ECG tests while sitting at your home. The watch shows the results on the ECG App module which is built into Fitbit App.

This feature is super useful, especially if you have heart problems or a history of heart problems in your family. With Fitbit Sense, you will detect heart problems at early stages and get medical help.

Fitbit Pay is pretty secure when it comes to security because it uses the tokenization process to create temporary tokens that can only be used for a certain transaction. Once that transaction is completed, no one can use that token to conduct another transaction. So with Fitbit Sense, you get a pretty secure payment system that you can use to pay for your shopping and goods.

Sleep Tracking

Like other Fitbits, Fitbit Sense also comes with a sleep-tracking feature that you can use to track your sleep sessions.

All you will have to do is to wear the watch while sleeping and the watch will automatically track your sleep. When you will wake up, it will provide a detailed breakdown that will help you understand your sleep quality.

Stress Management

Stress Management is another very popular feature of the watch which you can use to track your stress levels.

The unique thing about Fitbit sense is that it uses the EDA (Electrodermal) sensor to track your stress levels. The watch shows stress levels between 1 to 100 and a higher number indicates higher stress levels.

Activity Tracking

Fitbit sense also offers detailed activity tracking which means that the watch will track your activities throughout the day. It includes the step count, and heart rate zones.

Battery Life

The battery life of Fitbit sense is on the good side. The company claims that Fitbit offers 6 days of battery life without GPS and with GPS you get 12 hours.

In our tests, we were able to get solid 11 hours of battery life with the GPS. if you only enable GPS while tracking workouts, you can easily get solid 24 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Accuracy

Fitbit Sense comes with GPS & GLONASS, which are two of the most accurate satellite tracking systems. On top of that, it also features a 3-axis accelerometer, which can detect movements pretty well. In addition, the watch also comes with a pretty accurate Heart-rate sensor which will keep monitoring while you wear your watch. So, the combination of these three powerful technologies will result in pretty accurate tracking.

We also tested the Fitbit Sense to track our day and the watch was able to detect the workout pretty accurately. In the screenshot, you can see that the watch was able to detect my workout, sleep, strain, recovery, and other aspects.
